Law firm Michelmores has strengthened its national corporate team with four new appointments.
The four, who all previously worked for Cheltenham firm BPE Solicitors, include Partner Adam Kean, associate Ben Adams, solicitor Harry Jones and paralegal Philippa Kean.
Their arrival continues the expansion of the firm’s corporate capability across its Bristol and Cheltenham offices while building on last year’s joiners, including Cathy Bryant as a partner.
Adam, who spent just over five years with BPE – most recently as head of corporate – brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance with specialisms in private equity and venture capital investments and clean energy.
He said: “I am excited to have joined the highly regarded corporate team at Michelmores and I look forward to working alongside a team of experts and to continuing the exciting and impressive growth of the corporate team.”
Ben Adams spent two-and-a-half years at BPE, where he was a corporate associate. Prior to that he worked at Lyons Davidson in Bristol.

He said the new hires showed the firm continued to strengthen its corporate offering in the Bristol and Cheltenham markets based on the integrated approach that it had used successfully in London and Exeter.
Michelmores’s corporate team of 25 specialist lawyers advises clients across the UK and internationally on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, impact investing, energy projects, microfinance initiatives and more.
The firm employs more than 450 people across its offices in Bristol, London, Exeter and Cheltenham.
