Experienced accountant Andrew Jordan has joined fast-growing Bristol accountancy firm Corrigan Associates.
Andrew has worked as a consultant for the past 18 months and before that worked with national accountancy firm Baker Tilly for 10 years.
Corrigan Associates was formed in 2009 by Edward Corrigan and two former colleagues Julian Halton and Pete Edwards, who all worked together for national firm Baker Tilly.
Edward Corrigan said Andrew’s appointment as associate partner was another strong addition to the team. It recently recruited chartered accountant and tax practitioner Richard Bunker as a partner from Whyatt Pakeman, the Bristol firm acquired by regional accountants Bishop Fleming just before Christmas.
Edward Corrigan said: “I have known Andrew since his time at Baker Tilly and his role here will be to build up our audit practice and expand our offering to not-for-profit, education, independent schools and academies.
“Businesses appreciate being able to select from a range of different professional advisers and the offer of a dynamic independent practice seems to be an attractive one to many of them.
“Andrew’s appointment underlines that we have a very strong line up now.”
Andrew added: “Having headed up the advisory team at Baker Tilly I am used to working with growing businesses and all the demands that brings.
“I am pleased to have joined Corrigan Associates as I will get the opportunity to target some clients which may not have been on the radar until now.”
Corrigan Associates is one of Bristol’s fastest- accountancy practices, specialising in advising independent businesses.
Its clients include hi-tech companies, professional service businesses, overseas subsidiaries as well as a number of successful entrepreneurs. The firm was recently appointed finance director in residence at Bristol’s award-winning innovation and business support hub SETsquared.
