More than 90 key business figures enjoyed some 3D star-gazing and top leadership advice when they attended Bristol recruitment firm Moon Consulting’s 15th anniversary party.
Moon, which provides strategic consultancy services to some of the region’s top businesses, treated guests to the unusual combination at the newly renovated Planetarium at At-Bristol.
Guest speaker Monty Halls, the former Royal Marine-turned-leadership specialist and presenter of BBC2’s Great Escape series, kept guests spellbound with his practical advice on how to create, coach and lead teams in stressful and rapidly changing environments.
This included the decision making process that benefit teams and how to identify the critical moments in projects where they can either succeed or fail. 
Monty said: “I am delighted to be working with Moon Consulting for the second time. They understand the importance of having the right leadership talent in an organisation and the right behaviours to make a successful senior management team. I want to wish them a happy 15th anniversary and even greater success in the future.”
Guests then donned 3D glasses for a dramatic ‘tour’ of the solar system at the UK’s first 3D planetarium.
Moon founding director Vanessa Moon, pictured, said: “It has been a fantastic 15 years and I want to thank my team, our guests and VIPs for all their support. We were delighted to host our celebration at the At-Bristol Science Centre: some 55% of our business is in the software, engineering and technology sectors, with the balance in retail, finance and other fast-growing parts of the economy.
“By providing excellent service to our clients and targeting new high-growth companies in high-potential sectors, I am confident Moon Consulting will exceed our growth targets.”
The celebration was opened by newly appointed Lord Mayor of Bristol Cllr Clare Campion-Smith, who said she wanted young people today to have the opportunity to develop the same breadth of vision and qualities that Moon consulting has had in its 15 years.
