The restructuring and insolvency team from the Bristol office of accountancy firm Milsted Langdon joined the clean-up the city’s harbour as part of an ongoing charity campaign.
The six specialists took to the water despite overcast conditions and the odd downpour as part of the Clean up Bristol Harbour monthly event.
Set up in partnership with Bristol City Council’s Harbour Office and Bristol Waste, the charity invites people from all walks of life to help spruce up the harbour and collect litter.
Milsted Langdon restructuring and insolvency partner Rachel Hotham, who also oversees the firm’s HR function, was part of the team that took part.
She said everyone had a great time and were delighted to be able to do something beneficial for the city and give back to the local community.
“It was great for the team to do something for Bristol and its historic harbour. We were surprised with just how much litter we recovered and were happy to do our bit – despite the wet weather!
“As a firm, we feel we have a responsibility to ensure that we support the communities that we work within, and we are always on the lookout for small steps that can be taken to improve the environment near to our offices.”
Milsted Langdon, which employs 22 partners and around 230 staff, also has offices in Bath, London, Taunton and Yeovil.
