Communications agency McCann Bristol struck Gold and Silver at this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards for its work on two major national awareness campaigns.
The agency’s PR team claimed the top award in the Consumer Relations Campaign category for its educational campaign on behalf of women’s healthcare brand Balance Activ. The campaign secured widespread national coverage which boosted awareness of a common yet widely misunderstood intimate healthcare condition.
Judges praised the way in which McCann brought the issue into real life using research into the way women’s confidence is affected by the condition when dating, as well as the campaign’s “impressive” outcomes including a measurable commercial impact for the client.
The team’s work on behalf of sport governing body Archery GB earned it a silver award. McCann secured 283 pieces of national and regional coverage of archery from grass roots to elite level, including key events such as Archery GB’s Big Weekend and the Nottingham Building Society National Series Finals.
McCann Bristol head of PR Patrick Fraser said: “We’re thrilled to have been recognised for the creativity and strong media relations of the incredibly talented PR team we have here. As testament of our strong work over the last year, the team here is growing rapidly, and our clients are achieving remarkable success which is why we do what we do.”
McCann Bristol’s PR client roster includes Balance Activ, Cathay Pacific, Oasis Dental Care, Essilor, Westons Cider and HRS.
