Bristol marketer Matilda Crossman has been appointed chair of the Bristol and West area of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing).
Matilda, pictured, who attended Harvard Business School and is also a chartered accountant, will lead a team of volunteers who organise events and activities for marketers and business professionals from across the area.
CIM is the marketing sector’s leading professional body and supports, represents and develops marketers across the profession.
Matilda said: “I believe marketers can get out of the profession as much as they put in. The CIM Bristol & West team of volunteers aim to support and help local marketers grow professionally – whether they are just starting out on their career journey or are in senior marketing roles.
“The team is planning a mix of networking opportunities, skill development and knowledge share events and actively engaging with the wider business and Higher Education community.”
Matilda, who joined the CIM in 2008, works for London-based professional development group ExP, where she uses her marketing and finance expertise across markets in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. She is also a council member of the ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
