The real estate team at Bristol law firm VWV (Veale Wasbrough Vizards) has been appointed to a top Government legal panel to work on property and estates work.
Some 67 firms applied for the seven places on the Procurement Service Legal Services Framework Agreement which undertakes a wide range of property work, including development, disposals, management, and planning. VWV was ranked second nationally.
The agreement will typically be used by procurement teams in central Government, and by local authorities, police, fire, education, health and other public sector bodies for projects with a legal spend greater than £100,000 per project.
VWV managing partner Simon Heald said: “The award is testament to our depth of experience and skill in real estate, construction, litigation and procurement across central and local government and the education and healthcare sectors.
“We are delighted to be appointed to the panel, especially as we were one of the original firms on the framework.”
To be appointed to the framework, VWV had to demonstrate not only depth of relevant skills and experience, but also had to analyse legal and commercial risks arising from a number of scenarios. Responses were scored for clarity, conciseness, expertise and knowledge of the sector.
