The Bristol office of South West law firm Foot Anstey has appointed Mark Li as a legal director in its commercial property team – its second lateral hire from rival Womble Bond Dickinson in a month.
Mark, pictured, spent more than 15 years at Womble Bond Dickinson’s Bristol office, where he was a managing associate.
He has more than 13 years’ experience in complex commercial property transactions and specialises in infrastructure and development projects.
Foot Anstey said he brought considerable expertise to its commercial property offering, having previously acted for the likes of Network Rail and Homes England.
Mark said: “I’m really excited to join Foot Anstey, a firm whose client base in the property and infrastructure sector has grown considerably in recent years.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues in the commercial property team to help our clients realise their business ambitions.”
Foot Anstey head of real estate Martin Hirst said Mark’s experience in infrastructure and development would be a great asset to the firm and its clients as they look to manage their real estate portfolios.
Foot Anstey’s Bristol office, which opened six years ago with just 10 employees, has grown to more than 140 people.
The firm also has offices in Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth, Truro, Southampton and London.
Last month it announced the appointment of Patrick Wetherall as a partner in its real estate division. He also joined from Womble Bond Dickinson’s Bristol office, where he practised for 16 years and was a partner for 10.
