South West law firm Ashfords has merged with London-based Rochman Landau under the Ashfords LLP brand to form a practice with nearly 500 staff, annual turnover of more than £30m together and an international network of legal firms covering more than 80 countries.
Ashfords chief executive Ian Daniells described it as a major step in the development of Ashfords. whose headquarters are in Exeter with offices in Bristol, Plymouth, Taunton and Tiverton and London.
Mr Daniells said: “Rochman Landau is an established and highly respected practice with international capabilities and expertise which are complementary to our own. The merger will provide many benefits in terms of location, practice area expertise and growth for the enlarged firm.
"We have been looking for some time to expand significantly our presence in London as our client base and work emanating from London and abroad has been increasing. Rochman Landau’s own well established, and far-reaching, business and private client base, coupled with its central London location provides an ideal solution.”
Rochman Landau partner David Liebeck added: “We are delighted and excited to be joining forces with Ashfords which has an excellent reputation for a client focused, service-orientated approach to business. The merger will allow us to continue to deliver the highest level of service to our local and international clients whilst extending the services we can provide to our clients to new and complementary practice areas.”
