Bristol-based charity Ape Action Africa is seeking a big-hearted business to donate an iPad2 as a raffle prize and so boost its work in protecting endangered primates.

The charity would like to raffle off an iPad at tomorrow evening’s prestigious Only Connect networking event taking place at the Living Room in Bristol’s Millennium Square.

Any firm donating the prize will receive three complementary tickets to the high-profile black-tie event worth a total of more than £80 and a priceless chance to be associated with and promoted to key figures among Bristol’s business elite.

More than 500 movers and shakers from the Bristol business scene will gather at the showpiece party, the latest in a series of glamorous events staged by Only Connect in the city.

Only Connect gatherings have become a high point of the business and social calendar in Bristol, bringing together a wide range of entrepreneurs, key influencers and professional advisers in upmarket surroundings for an evening of networking and socialising.

Winners of the Ape Action Africa raffle will be drawn by the Lord Mayor of Bristol Geoff Gollop and Miranda Krestovnikoff, presenter of BBC's Coast and supporter of the charity, which rescues and rehabilitates orphaned or injured gorillas and chimpanzees in safe forest sanctuaries in Cameroon.

As well as the iPad, prizes will include a tour for 10 of the Krispy Kreme factory followed by a design and make your own doughnut experience, and a special treat from Only Connect sponsors Broughtons Aston Martin.

Any business that can donate an iPad should contact Graham Godwin-Pearson of Ape Action Africa at graham.bristol@yahoo.co.uk
