Former pensions minister Steve Webb will explain some of the substantial changes which have been made to UK pensions and answering questions at the next IoD seminar in Bristol.
Sponsored by accountancy, investment management and tax group Smith & Williamson and law firm Gregg Latchams, the event will provide rare insights into the new pensions regime with professional advice from specialists working in the field.
Mr Webb, pictured, the chief architect of the changes, will be joined by James Taylor from ADAPT Real Estate, who will talk about pensions and property, and Roger Perry, a pensions specialist at the Bristol office of Smith & Williamson. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session, networking and refreshments.
Bristol IoD chair Rebecca Tregarthen said: “We’re delighted to have Steve Webb with us for some exclusive insight into the world of pensions and all the implications of the recent changes for business.
“Knowing that much of the investment activity in pensions has a huge impact on property and construction, I’m very pleased James Taylor from ADAPT Real Estate will be able to bring us up to speed on the latest in terms of real-life case studies in these markets. We also look forward to hearing from Smith & Williamson’s Roger Perry who is a specialist in this area.”
