Chartered accountancy firm Milsted Langdon has appointed Ruth Gilbert as an insolvency manager in its Bristol office.
Ruth, pictured, has specialised in insolvency work since 2000, when she joined boutique insolvency practice Byrne Associates in Bristol. She is experienced in managing both corporate and personal insolvency cases of all shapes and sizes.
Having started her career in accountancy, Ruth qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2006 and became a Fellow in 2011. She is active in the association as a committee member of ACCA’s Bristol Members Network, where her work includes acting as an ACCA ambassador.
Milsted Langdon said Ruth represented a perfect fit for the team. One of her strengths is her large technical knowledge and expertise which is crucial in order to achieve the best outcome in any insolvency process – something the firm places huge importance on.
Having had her first exposure to the world of insolvency in 2000 she went on to gain her Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and passed her qualifying exams issued by the Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams in 2009.
Her appointment takes to five the number of licensed insolvency practitioners in the Milsted Langdon insolvency team.
