National planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore has expanded its infrastructure and environmental planning team in Bristol with the appointment of Will Spencer.
Will, pictured, joins the team as an infrastructure and environmental planning associate having previously worked for the three years as a development consent order and statutory process manager at Highways England.
Specialising in infrastructure planning, Development Consent Orders (DCO) and Environmental Impact Assessments, Will will run planning projects for a range of infrastructure and energy developments across the UK.
Barton Willmore infrastructure and environmental planning director Ben Lewis said: “Will brings an enviable range of experience to this role having built up a specialist understanding of the sector from both Highways England as well as the Planning Inspectorate and the Infrastructure Planning Commission.

Barton Willmore has grown its infrastructure and environmental planning team in Bristol over the past few years, working on several significant projects.
During the past 12 months it has provided planning and DCO advice to clients on a number of nationally significant infrastructure projects including Wylfa Newydd, A303 Sparkford to Ilchester, Sunderland International Advanced Manufacturing Park, London to Southampton Pipeline and Heathrow Airport.
