Bristol’s first Musart festival takes place this Sunday, showcasing some of the city’s finest art and musical talent over nine hours while raising money for the Sue Ryder charity.

The event is staged by Bristol-based event organisers Karen Dunne-Squire and James Flinter, who between them have been responsible for a number of major music events including Bristol’s Big Village Fete, Bromley Heath Community Festival and Bristol Folk Festival.

The inaugural Musart festival, which takes place at The Tunnels, Temple Meads, features local acts Temple Circus, Max Rebo and Mango Factory plus a range of acoustic acts on the main stage, busking acts, and a raffle of artwork exhibited by six highly-acclaimed local artists including Mr Klue, Object and Hollis.

All proceeds will go to the Sue Ryder, the charity providing end-of-life and long-term care to people living with conditions such as cancer, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Karen said: ”Bristol is renowned for its tradition of fine art and music festivals and Musart really brings all that together. We have a target of £2,500 to raise for Sue Ryder,

Tickets are £10 and are available from Bristol Ticket shop or by calling 0845 882 7463. The price includes a free gourmet burger from Ciao Burger
