Human resources professional Geraldine Buckland, who has 25 years’ business and HR experience spanning the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, has been appointed to lead the HR consulting team at accountants Smith & Williamson’s Bristol office.
Geraldine, who takes over from partner Rachel Stone, has worked in senior roles at Lloyds, BP, HBoS and First Group as well as running her own consultancy.
She said: “The true heart of a business lies with its people and my role centres on helping organisations to build successful, long-term relationships with colleagues and clients.
“I look forward to getting to know Smith & Williamson’s clients and together with my team, helping to deliver a wide range of HR services. Our support is far-reaching, from advising the boards of our largest corporate clients to providing practical, hands-on support to smaller companies which are not yet ready to take on an in-house HR resource.”
Geraldine, who ran her own HR consultancy business for 10 years, is a change management specialist who works closely with clients to formulate and implement HR strategies; she is also a professional coach.
Smith & Williamson’s HR Consulting team provides specialist HR support and guidance to more than 100 businesses and organisations across the UK.
