Staying ahead in an ever changing world is the theme of the South West Communicators Conference on Tuesday June 14 at the Bristol Hotel on Harbourside.
Business journalist and BBC broadcaster Declan Curry will chair a roundtable discussion on the changing media landscape, with contributions from regional BBC, ITV and the Bristol Evening Post.
The key morning session, What happens when you're on every front page, will be led by Amanda Hearst, head of corporate communications for Avon & Somerset Police. She played a pivotal role in handling the media frenzy that surrounded the death of Joanna Yeates last Christmas.
There will be six workshops including:
Howard Kosky, Chairman, markettiers4dc: How to get the most out of broadcast
Tim Evans, Digital Mentor, Cosmic: How to get the most out of social media – strategy, planning & evaluation
Jonathan Hemus, Insignia: Media training and issues and crisis communications
