Three senior promotions have been announced at the Bristol office of accountancy and investment management group Smith & Williamson.
Partner Jerry Barnes has been appointed as the new chairman of the firm’s landed estates team. He takes over from partner Andrew Lockwood who remains an active member of the team.
Jerry also leads Smith & Williamson’s family office team in Bristol, advising clients on all aspects of inherited wealth and landed estates, particularly when it comes to wealth protection and succession planning.
Private client tax specialist Imogen Hilton-Brown and investment manager James Eggels have been promoted to partner. Imogen will take over Jerry Barnes’ previous role as head of private client services in Bristol, while James will continue to play a key role in the firm’s investment management team.
Office managing partner Mike Lea said: “We are very pleased to announce these senior promotions on behalf of three very deserving members of our team. Their promotions reflect our investment in our people which is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering the highest quality service to our clients.”
Head of Smith & Williamson’s investment management team in Bristol, John Erskine, added: “We are fortunate to have a large team of talented professionals looking after the financial affairs of our private clients. It’s a pleasure to see Imogen and James recognised for their outstanding contributions and I’m sure their clients will join me in wishing them continued success in their careers.”
