Las Iguanas, the Bristol-based Latin American restaurant group, has achieved certificates of excellence from TripAdvisor for two thirds of its eligible outlets.

Some 22 branches of the national chain, which launched in 1991 when it opened its first restaurant in St Nicholas Street, Bristol, are now ranked in the top 10% of all business listed on TripAdviser, the website that allows the public to post reviews on travel-related businesses.

Among the 22 branches to gain the certificate of excellence is Las Iguanas’ Cribbs Causeway restaurant near Bristol. It is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor and that maintain a constant rating higher than four out of five stars.

To eligible for the accreditation, the outlet must have been in operation for at least a year.

Las Iguanas regional director Andy Williams said: “We are going from strength to strength at the moment and are absolutely delighted that our guests enjoy Las Iguanas as much as we do.

“We work incredibly hard to consistently deliver excellent hospitality as well as great fresh food and to get this recognition for so many branches again this year motivates us even more to keep improving our performance.”

Las Iguanas now has 41 branches across the UK including recently opened restaurants in Swansea and Torquay. Further branches are due to open in Chester and Coventry this summer.
