Bristol-based commercial property agency Hartnell Taylor Cook has made a number of appointments and promotions following another successful year.
The independent firm, which also has an office in London, said it had achieved a “substantial” increase in annual turnover with growth across several sectors.
Gemma-Jane Ogden, pictured, who joined HTC’s Bristol-based investment team two years ago, has been promoted to associate director in recognition of her contribution to its most successful trading year.
Shaun Hall also becomes an associate director, having joined the Bristol office last year to head the facilities management team. HTC has recently been appointed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to carry out an audit of its UK portfolio.
Gary Meechan and Beth Thomas both join the Bristol office to strengthen the facilities management team.
Gary has more than eight years’ experience and arrives from Kings Chase Shopping Centre, Kingswood. Beth joins as a trainee facilities manager after studying at Reading University.
Laura Bailey has joined as a property administrator in the property and asset management team based in Bristol.
Promotions to senior surveyor include Tom Gable and Lauren Reynolds – both in the Bristol-based property and asset management – and Henry de Teissier of industrial agency. All three joined HTC as graduates and qualified as chartered surveyors last year.
Meanwhile Daksha Mistry and Robert Buckland have joined the project and building consultancy team in HTC’s London office as part of an on-going expansion of this service. Daksha, who previously worked for Lambert Smith Hampton, has more than 10 years’ experience as a building consultant. Robert, previously with MGH, is now a graduate surveyor.
In response to the growth of the business and its higher staffing levels, Leanne Alder has been appointed as HR manager. Prior to HTC she worked with Mercedes Benz.
Managing partner Stuart Howell said: “HTC is at a very exciting point in the company’s evolution. We have been growing steadily both in terms of turnover and staff levels and despite our comparative size to some of our global competitors, we continue to advise some of the country’s largest household names and are actively expanding our client base across all sectors.
“We are excited to be recruiting a mix of experienced and junior staff and being able to reward those who might not have been with HTC long but have made an immediate impact. We are very optimistic for the future of the business.”
