The South West audit team at accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has been strengthened with the appointment of Paul Nott as a partner in its Bristol office.
Paul, pictured, joins from global accountancy group PwC, where he spent 29 years – the past 12 as an audit director based in Bristol.
Paul brings a wealth of experience specialising in the large corporate market, particularly private equity-backed or larger private audited entities.
While working across industry sectors, he has significant expertise in the energy and utilities markets, as well covering large infrastructure projects and capital market transactions.
BDO South West managing partner David Brookes said Paul brought a wealth of experience to the firm’s Bristol team, adding “real value” to its audit proposition.
“In particular, we will be tapping into his extensive expertise in the large corporate market, where he will help us to drive strong, sustainable growth,” he added.
“We’re delighted to have someone of his calibre onboard – someone with real understanding of the regional landscape.”
Paul said he was very excited to join BDO’s growing team in the South West.
“It’s a fantastic region, with entrepreneurially spirited business owners at the heart of the local economy,” he added.
“BDO prides itself on delivering high-quality, partner-led services and I’m delighted to be joining such a strong and dynamic team, strengthening our position as a leader in the market.”
BDO employs around 8,000 people in 18 offices across the UK offering tax, audit and assurance, and a range of advisory services. It is the UK member firm of the BDO international network.
