South West law firm Foot Anstey has continued to build its sector experience with the appointment of former Lloyds Banking Group mid markets director Clive Hetherington as an advisor.
Clive, pictured, left Lloyds last month after more than 30 years in the banking industry. At Foot Anstey, which has offices in Bristol, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth, Southampton, Truro and London, he will have a particular focus on the banking and financial services sector.
At Lloyds he funded numerous management buy-outs, acquisitions and worked alongside businesses raising equity and going through public-to-private transactions.
A high profile figure in Bristol’s business community, Clive is also a trustee of the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) and board member of the Faculty of Business and Law advisory board at UWE.
Foot Anstey partner and head of markets Nathan Peacey said: “Clive’s experience will be invaluable in developing our sector knowledge and helping us to continue delivering exceptional service to our clients.
“His role is one of a number of strategic appointments that we are making within the firm that will strengthen our sector experience.”
Clive added: “I am delighted to be joining the expert team at Foot Anstey and looking forward to working alongside them to develop and strengthen their sector expertise.”
This appointment continues to build on Foot Anstey’s positive growth and sector focus. It recently reported 20% growth in its four key sectors, with overall growth of 12% and turnover increasing to £36m.
Over the past five years its turnover has grown by 60%, which puts the firm amongst the fastest growing in the industry.
