Bristol and London law firm Gregg Latchams has appointed former Bevan Brittan partner Charles Metherell as managing director of its GL Business Consultancy arm.
Charles, pictured, brings with him expertise in turnaround and intervention consultancy, corporate re-structuring and strategic planning. 
He qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and spent 25 years in private practice, including 16 years at Bevan Brittan (formerly Bevan Ashford), where he served as partner, head of commercial practice group and head of its Bristol office.
He also worked in South West firm Michelmores’ London office and as managing director at professional compliance, risk and regulatory consultancy The Corre Partnership in the City.
Prior to joining Gregg Latchams he ran his own legal management consultancy business, where he undertook interim CEO/COO roles as well as specific project work.
He is a member of the Institute for Turnaround and is a specialist in turnaround, change management, business recovery and restructuring. Much of his time has been spent working with clients on improving process and financial performance and managing change initiatives.

He is already helping two large firms on GDPR-related matters and will be working closely with commercial director Paul Hardman on growth and funding, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and change management.
