Integrated communications agency McCann Bristol has appointed Kathryn Ellis as planning director.
Kathryn, pictured, joins McCann Bristol’s growing team from Bristol agency Bray Leino, where she was senior planner. She brings with her an impressive track record going back 10 years and a wealth of big brand knowledge, having previously worked as a strategic planner at London communication agencies Kamarama and DKLW.
Her experience as an integrated strategist will boost McCann Bristol as it continues to expand its portfolio of clients which include Cathay Pacific, Oasis Dental Care, Yeo Valley, Essilor and Pink Lady Apples.
Kathryn, who has worked on award-winning campaigns for a broad spectrum of clients spanning Halifax, PlusNet, Pilgrims Choice, Burger King, Morrison’s, Sony Erickson and BBC, is McCann Bristol’s ninth appointment this year. The agency is continuing to recruit for positions in digital, creative and account handling.
Kathryn said: “I am really excited to be joining McCann. Strategic planning is part of the agency’s DNA.”
McCann Bristol managing director Andy Reid added: “We are really pleased that Kathryn has joined us. Her appointment reinforces our commitment to being a strategic business partner for our clients.”
He said the agency’s ‘360 offer’ was proving very popular with clients, who saw the value in having experts from marketing disciplines working together under one roof. “They benefit from economies of scale and channel neutrality which ensures our campaigns deliver results for our clients,” he said.
McCann Bristol, part of McCann Worldgroup – the world’s largest advertising and communications network – has doubled in size over the past three years.
