National law firm Bevan Brittan has made its second partner appointment of the year with the recruitment of property finance expert Jessica Church to its Bristol office.
Jessica, pictured, began her legal career as a trainee with Bevan Brittan before joining Trowers & Hamlins in London, where she worked for 11 years, most recently as a managing associate.
She has become a member Bevan Brittan’s Bristol-based property team, although will work nationally.
In her role, she will support a range of housing associations, investors and Real Estate Investment Trusts, advising on bond issues, private placements, bank funding and charges.
Bevan Brittan’s social housing team received top rankings in the legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners in 2020.
Jessica becomes Bevan Brittan’s seventh partner appointment in little over 12 months and arrives just weeks after the firm took on experienced pensions expert Nigel Bolton, who joined its growing employment, pensions & immigration practice from Freeths.
Bevan Brittan head of property Mark Calverley said: “Jessica is an excellent addition to an already strong team. We are looking forward to welcoming her to the firm and adding her experience to the in-depth market knowledge and skills we can place at our clients’ disposal.”
Bevan Brittan managing partner Duncan Weir added: “It is fantastic to be able to welcome Jessica back to Bevan Brittan and we are all looking forward to working with her again.
“She brings great experience to our highly-regarded Property Team and will help us continue to offer our clients across the UK the expertise, market knowledge and support they need in these challenging times.
“This is another important appointment for our national property team and the firm as a whole and is further evidence of how we are continuing to invest in our future.”
Bevan Brittan’s revenues topped £50m last year for the first time, with profit increasing by 13.8%. The firm employs nearly 300 people in Bristol and also has offices in London, Leeds and Birmingham.
