A £500,000-plus refurbishment of the Quadrant Business Park at Almondsbury following the departure of major occupier workwear firm Alexandra is already paying off, according to the property consultants marketing it.

Flooring specialist A La Carte Flooring has signed a five-year lease for a 9,777 sq ft unit and four further units of between 10,000 sq ft and 80,000 sq ft will be available by the end of the summer when the upgrade is completed.

The area around the M4/M5 interchange faces a shortage of high-quality modern industrial units, according to property consultancy Jones Lang LaSalle, which is acting jointly with Russell Property Consultants to market the business park.

A La Carte Flooring, a family run business with more than 45 years in the industry, is moving from Filton. Director Terry Peirce said: “This is a fantastic location for us as we continue to grow our business and seek to attract greater trade and retail customers. The newly-refurbished modern premises offer a great space for our showroom with plenty of parking for staff and customers and easy access to the motorway networks.”

Chris Miles, associate director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s industrial team, said: “The investment and refurbishment by the landlord at Quadrant Business Park shows a strong commitment, helping to breathe new life back into the site after the departure of Alexandra.”

Rob Russell, managing director of Russell Property Consultants, added: “There is a shortage of good quality industrial units in the North Bristol area and we are the closest to the M4/M5 able to accommodate demand from 10,000 sq ft up to 80,000 sq ft.”
