Bristol creative design agency Fiasco Design has bought is own head office and opened a co-working space for creatives using a six-figure finance package from Barclays.
The agency, which has experienced sustained growth over the past nine years, was supported in its acquisition of the 4,800 sq ft of commercial space on Raleigh Road in Southville by the bank funding.
The undisclosed finance package has allowed Fiasco Design to refurbish and re-purpose the interior of the former cigar factory into new creative space for its 10 staff – securing its long-term future and meeting its growth aspirations. The agency now plans to take on more staff.
It has also created Gather Round in the building – a co-working space used by a raft of designers, publishers, illustrators and filmmakers.
Fiasco Design was set up in 2010 by Ben Steers and Jason Smith and is now widely recognised as one of Bristol’s top agencies, creating forward-thinking brand identities, websites, illustration and animation for a wide range of organisations.
Clients include Penguin Books, Aardman Digital, Channel 4 Education, the BBC, UWE Bristol and Cosy Club.

Fiasco Design has won numerous awards including for its work with Pelican Books, including D&AD’s national digital design:UX, UI & Navigation for websites title.
