Firms will be able to access the latest advice and guidance to enable them to become sustainable when the region’s largest annual environmental exhibition returns next week.

Staged by Bristol specialist business hub Future Leap at Paintworks on Bath Road, the Festival of Sustainable Business Exhibition next Thursday, 15 June, will build on the success of last year’s event with a range of activities to engage and inspire.

Sustainability-related products, services and organisations will be showcased along with an interactive tech and transport zone displaying the latest in sustainable transport.

Thought-provoking discussions led by expert panels will take place in the Just Transition Talks Stage, sponsored by City Leap, the innovative partnership between Bristol City Council and Ameresco that is accelerating green energy investment around the city.

Attendees will also hear from businesses taking part in a new ‘pitch hour’, when they will be explaining their innovative ideas to potential investors.

Another key features will be the opportunity to connect and network with like-minded individuals and businesses in a dedicated networking zone with free tea and coffee, sponsored by cellulose fibre insulation manufacturer Termex.

Future Leap said: “The Festival of Sustainable Business Exhibition is designed to support attendees in progressing their sustainability journey and understand the role of business, education and communities in tackling the climate and ecological emergency.

“Various Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports over recent years have highlighted the urgency of climate and ecological emergencies. This stark warning provides an opportunity for us all to push further and progress our sustainability, together.

“The exhibition provides the platform and space for organisations and individuals to make vital connections, enabling collaboration under a common goal – to progress sustainability.”

The free to attend exhibition is headline sponsored by Building Growth South West, which provides part or fully funded skills and training projects to construction across the region. Latcham is sponsoring the sustainably printed exhibition programme while accountancy group Evelyn Partners is inclusivity partner.
