Bristol recruitment agency Heat has been awarded the highest accolade for workplace engagement in the highly-regarded ‘Best Companies Survey’.
The three-star accreditation reflects an ‘extraordinary’ level of engagement at the firm, according to the b-Heard, the company that stages the annual survey.
Employees are quizzed on eight factors of workplace engagement including ‘leadership’, ‘my manager’ and ‘wellbeing’. The survey is open to all employees of participating businesses.
The companies with the highest scores each year have the opportunity to appear in The Sunday Times’ Best Companies to Work For List – the latest of which is due to be published next February.
Heat Recruitment managing director Steve Preston, pictured, who launched the business in 2005, believes its success in the survey reflects Bristol’s standing as the “best place to live in Britain” – a title the city scooped last year.
In achieving the b-Heard three-star status, Heat is working hard to ensure the city remains top of the list, drawing in the best talent to work with them from across the country, he said.
“This is a remarkable achievement for all of us at Heat. In 2018 we have been putting a strong focus on nurturing our talent and improving our reputation as an employer of choice. Receiving a three-star status from our employees is testament to this,” he said.
“Our staffing has increased by 56% this year and shows no sign of slowing. We are setting ambitious targets for 2019 and understand that fostering our company culture and supporting our team internally is what’s helping to propel us to the forefront of our industry. Look after your staff and they will look after you.
“Additional recognition in the 2019 Best Companies to Work For list would be a true honour and would hopefully attract even more great talent to work with Heat at our head office, here in the creative and innovative city of Bristol.”
B-Heard said the Best Companies accreditations helped to attract and retain the best talent available, offering companies “a fantastic opportunity to showcase the engagement health of their organisation”.
Heat supplies permanent and contractor/interim staff to companies in the engineering, financial services, general insurance, information technology and legal sectors.
