Stowe Family Law, the UK’s largest specialist family law practice, has opened an office in Bristol as it continues to expand across the country.
The office in Queen Square is its fourth new base in less than 12 months and takes its network to 14.
The firm has recruited experienced family law solicitor Jemma Slavin as managing partner to lead its Bristol team, which also includes senior partner Julian Hawkhead and senior solicitor Rachel Fisher.
Jemma has joined Stowe from Newport firm Atkinsons Solicitors, where she was a senior solicitor.
Jemma and her team will be able to advise clients on a range of family law issues, including divorce, financial settlements, children arrangements and civil partnerships.
Jemma, who has specialised in family law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2005, said: “It’s great to be given this opportunity to work for such a prestigious law firm that’s establishing an office in Bristol.”

Jemma has previously worked in Surrey as well as South Wales, where she was a highly respected practitioner whose cases were often heard in the High Court due to the value and complexity of the assets involved.
As well as a wealth of experience in legal matters, especially those concerning divorce, separation, and children disputes, she also has a particular expertise in advising clients with substantial and complex assets including off shore trusts, pensions, and property.
Clients have included professional sportsmen and women, politicians and high-profile businessmen and businesswomen.
Stowe also has offices in North and West Yorkshire, London, the Manchester region, Cheshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Hampshire and Surrey.
