Bristol integrated brand agency saintnicks has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Marcus Culloty as its new creative director.

Marcus, pictured, has more than 17 years’ experience working for some of the UK and Ireland’s leading network and independent agencies, including Havas, Publicis and The Leith Agency, and has created a raft of award-winning campaigns for global clients such as Toyota, O2, Jameson and Dunlop.

He joined saintnicks from McCann Bristol, where he held the same title. Prior to that, he was the creative director of The Mix Dublin, part of Pernod Ricard’s global in-house agency network.

In his new role Marcus is leading saintnicks’ conceptual output alongside supporting the mentoring, shaping and development of its creative studio.

Saintnicks, which also has an office in London, specialises in activating brands through the line, marrying creativity and commerciality to develop campaigns that deliver results.

Its clients include LIV Golf, Ascot, Car Gurus, d&b audiotechnik, Admiral and Western Global.

Marcus said: “saintnicks has a great philosophy for crafting great work that helps their clients and their brands really fly.

“That’s why I can’t wait to dive in, be part of this experienced agile independent agency’s senior team and take things further than ever.”

Marcus’s appointment followed the arrival of Richard Canueto-Cook and Hannah Bains as account directors in the agency’s client services team. Both joined with previous careers at Ogilvy, Havas and McCann.

Marcus, Richard and Hannah’s arrivals came as the agency enjoyed another strong year, with new wins and more work from existing clients in the automotive, sport and audio sectors – including Ascot Racecourse, which appointed saintnicks as its social media marketing agency – as well as a string of industry award nominations.

Saintnicks executive creative director Steve Davies said: “The quality of talent and the versatility of skills in the agency has enabled us to generate stronger campaigns and deliver better performance metrics across the board.

“With over 65% of our business from international brands, we are always seeking talent that can help us to take clients further, and Marcus is a most welcome and exciting addition to the team.”

Saintnicks was accredited as a B Corp last year in recognition of its commitment to making a positive impact.
