Long-established Bristol public relations consultancy Empica is expanding by joining forces with a smaller Bristol-based PR agency.
Empica, which has been in business since 1989, has taken over Inform Media, with Inform’s founder Neil Fraser now heading its business-to-business offering.
Neil, an experienced journalist and PR professional, founded Inform seven years ago, serving primarily business-to-business clients.
Empica was launched by owner and managing director Martin Powell – an ex-journalist himself – and serves a wide range of clients in the Bristol area and across the UK.
It moved to bigger offices in Wraxall, North Somerset, last September to accommodate its growth.
Martin said: “A good number of excellent smaller PR agencies have been launched in recent years in the Bristol area and Inform Media is one of them. We have known Neil for many years and have been impressed with his work.
“We are building a truly full-service agency and merging with Neil’s business is part of that process as it gives us access to his unrivalled B2B expertise. We already have a strong team of experienced professionals and it is fantastic to add Neil to that mix.”
Neil added: “Having run my own consultancy for several years, I felt the time was right to join forces with a larger agency. Empica is the most respected name in the field in this region and I’m looking forward to playing a part in its ambitious growth plans over the coming years.”
Empica, which has a satellite office in London, now has a staff of 14 serving around 30 clients across all sectors. The agency includes PR, events, digital and online services and video production.
