Expanding kitchen ventilation firm moves to new base

Commercial catering ventilation specialist B W Fabrications has moved to Ashton Vale Industrial Estate in South Bristol after outgrowing its base in St Phillips.

The firm, launched in 1997, designs, manufactures and installs kitchen extraction equipment for the catering industry. It employs 16 people on site and supplies businesses across the South West, South Wales, the Midlands and the South East of England.

It found the extra office and workshop space it needed at South Liberty Lane, which is managed by business space group SEGRO.

Another key element of the move was SEGRO’s flexibility over parking, which meant BW could have extra spaces nearby.

Chris Miles of letting agents Jones Lang LaSalle said: “BW Fabrications had a clear idea of their needs and were looking to expand into a bigger space in the hope of further success, without moving too far.

“We were able to negotiate with their neighbours to secure further parking spaces.”

BWF managing director Steve Bruce-Jones said: “SEGRO was able to track down the right size premises not too far from our original base and the extra car parking is a significant benefit to us.”

SEGRO runs four industrial estates across greater Bristol, which are branded together as Bristolworks and are marketed by Colliers International and Jones Lang LaSalle.
