A film production company, an internal comms agency and a social media marketing firm are the Bristol winners of the annual search to find the region’s happiest workplace.
Icon Films, Home and Noisy Little Monkey landed the Bristol Large, Medium and Small Business titles respectively in the Happiest Workplace competition, staged by Bristol interior architects Wylde IA.
The South Gloucestershire winners were skateboarding firm Shiner, which was crowned the Happiest Workplace in the inaugural contest in 2015 and this year topped the Large Business category, and chartered surveying firm Carterwood, which won the Medium business award.
The overall winner was Bath-based spectacles design firm INSPECS.
The South West Happiest Workplaces awards were launched four years ago by Wylde IA to recognise firms that go the extra mile to ensure their staff are cheerful and fulfilled.
Wylde IA director Maxine Bennett said: “Yet again the standard of entries has far exceeded our expectations. The South West is full of exciting, vibrant companies prioritising staff happiness and wellbeing which is wonderful to see.
“This year, in particular, we’ve seen a genuine emphasis on mental health awareness and support running alongside the more typical rewards, benefits and work-life balance focus.”
The winners received their awards yesterday at a ceremony hosted at the Bristol and Bath Science Park, attended by staff from shortlisted finalists.
Bristol Business News and its sister titles are delighted to have supported the competition as media partner since its launch. Full details of all winners and photos from the awards ceremony will appear on Bristol Business News next week.
