Bristol-based Harbourside Corporate Finance has appointed Alex Mitchell as its new corporate finance director.
The boutique firm, which specialises in advising and supporting business owners in areas such as acquisitions, mergers and disposals, was spun out of regional accountancy firm Milsted Langdon’s corporate finance team nearly three years ago.
It has since worked with a range of small and medium-sized businesses across the UK and their referrers, including accountants, solicitors and other trusted advisers.
Alex, pictured, who joins Harbourside director Olly Pullin and Hollie Edwards-Davies as the newest addition to its team, previously worked with firms in a range of sectors, including a number of technology and software businesses.
He has a wealth of experience ranging from FTSE-listed companies to owner-managed businesses.
Alex said: “I have worked in corporate finance for the last decade, advising listed companies, private equity holdings and owner-managed businesses on strategic options and mergers and acquisitions.
“My career has taken me through high-profile FTSE- listed software companies and boutique advisories.”
Olly Pullin added: “We’re delighted to welcome Alex, who brings with him a great deal of experience working with everything from listed companies to owner-managed businesses.
“Everyone at Harbourside, especially his fellow directors, are very optimistic about the specialisms that he brings to the team.
“I’m sure he’s going to be an insightful and knowledgeable member of the firm and our clients are definitely going to benefit from his expertise.
“He is focused on getting optimal outcomes for our clients all while limiting the amount of disruption they experience as they take their businesses to the next stage.”
