Marco Pierre White serves up book signings and a summer menu for diners

Celebrated chef Marco Pierre White chatted to guests about food – and football – when he paid a special visit to his restaurant near Bristol.

The personal appearance was to launch the new summer menu at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House, which he has designed himself.

Guests at the special three-course dinner with Prosecco also received a complimentary copy of the renowned chef’s book White Heat 25.

But his visit to the Congresbury hotel also coincided with one of England’s matches in Euro 2016 – and his book signing session also turned into a chance for him to watch the game and lament the team’s half-baked performance.

The new menu features classically British dishes made with seasonal ingredients. Steak remains at its heart with cuts including fillet, rib-eye and Chateaubriand and there is a range of new main courses, starters and desserts, all reflecting Marco’s passion for simplicity.

Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill business development manager Rebecca Bozeat-Manzi said: “We are all so proud of the new menu and can’t wait for people to try it. Not only do we have a range of gorgeous new starters, sharers, mains and desserts, we also have a fantastic cocktail and drinks menu which really finishes off the experience. Marco’s vision is very much about classic food done well and we really think that is what we’ve delivered.

“Our book signing events are always really popular and our guests always comment on how lovely Marco is and how much they enjoyed the evening.”
