Expanding Devon-based marketing communications firm The Oxygen Agency has become the latest creative business to open an office in Bristol’s Enterprise Zone.
The firm, founded in 2002, employs nine multi-disciplined staff offering a full slate of marketing communications services at its headquarters in Tiverton.
It has worked with regional, national and global brands such as Kaba, Devonshire Homes, BT, Property Consortium, Hertz, Honda, Kia Motors, Barclaycard and Ericsson.
Oxygen said the Bristol office, at One Temple Quay, underscores its commitment to serving the communications needs of businesses in the South West and beyond.
It services will include design, web, mobile and print, as well as PR and media relations, marketing, copywriting and events management.
Oxygen founder and managing director Steve Lodge will now be based in Bristol and the firm plans to make further hires for the office to bolster its marketing and PR capabilities.
Steve Lodge said: “Bristol is booming and we are very optimistic about continued growth across the South West.
“More than ever, effective communication is crucial to sustainable business success. At Oxygen we have deep West Country knowledge, a strong emphasis on service and the ability to handle our clients’ creative, marketing and PR needs in an integrated manner.
“We have built a number of trusted partnerships with companies of all sizes. Our new Bristol office will allow us to share our brand of enthusiastic and intelligent marketing communication services with an even wider range of businesses.”
Mayor of Bristol George Ferguson and Joe McGeehan, chair of inward investment agency Invest Bristol & Bath, welcomed Oxygen’s move to the city.
Mayor Ferguson said: “It’s good to hear of yet another new creative company moving into the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.
“This further strengthens the creative cluster of businesses that is contributing to Bristol’s growing success. It is excellent news that Oxygen will be recruiting local staff to work in their new Bristol office giving a further boost to employment and the regional economy.”
Joe McGeehan added: “Bristol and Bath are among the top 10 creative hotspots in the UK, as recognised by [the innovation charity] NESTA, and the region is one of the country’s three key hubs for creative industries, making it the ideal location for Oxygen. The company is an excellent addition to our vibrant creative and digital media cluster.”
Oxygen has an ISO9001 quality management accreditation and an ISO27001 information security accreditation.
