Bristol-headquartered cancer charity Penny Brohn UK has opened its meeting rooms and gardens on the city’s outskirt to businesses looking to stage wellbeing events for their staff.
Organisations can now hire the extensive indoor and outdoor facilities at Ham Green House, near Pill, pictured, for activities while at the same time supporting the charity’s work helping people to live well with cancer.
Set in beautiful, landscaped gardens, the Grade II listed Georgian mansion and its purpose-built modern therapeutic wing offer flexible spaces for all types of events – from employee wellness days to conferences and life celebrations.
The house also has 26 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant and ample parking.
All money generated from venue hire will go directly towards Penny Brohn UK’s pioneering work supporting people with cancer and their families.
The charity’s head of sales and customer relations Dida Moore, pictured, said Ham Green House was the perfect location for businesses looking for a off-site events.
“Holding your event here is a great way to demonstrate that you are a caring employer while also supporting the valuable work we do supporting people with cancer,” she added.
“We work closely with experienced therapists and practitioners and can help you plan a bespoke wellbeing awayday for your team.
“We are delighted to open our venue to a wide range of organisations because of a growing focus among employers on employee wellbeing and demand for spaces that support this.
“Businesses are also looking to give something back to their local communities or charity to boost their corporate social responsibility credentials. Holding events here at Ham Green House can help organisations achieve this.”
The national charity was started in 1979 by Bristol woman Penny Brohn with her friend Pat Pilkington after being diagnosed with breast cancer,
It takes an integrated and whole-person approach to cancer care and support, recognising that people need more than medicine to live well with the disease.
