The University of the West of England (UWE), which offers dozens of courses focused on the creative industries, has launched its internship schemes to help employers recruit interns for the summer.

UWE, which earlier this year announced a £37m investment in creative industries education in Bristol, runs three internship schemes for students at different stages of learning.

The UWE Bristol Undergraduate Internship Scheme is for employers who wish to recruit a student for a 10-week summer project, and offers recruiters up to £1,500 funding. Internships can be advertised for start dates between Monday, May 22, and Monday, July 10.

The UWE Bristol Graduate Internships Scheme, run in partnership with Santander, provides £1,500 funding to a limited number of SMEs who wish to recruit 2017 UWE graduates from specific courses for 10-week placements. The scheme is open to SMEs with a workforce total under 250 employees and turnover up to £50m.

Meanwhile, the UWE Bristol International Talent Undergraduate Internship Scheme provides funding to employers who wish to recruit an international student intern to support with global project work or export activity.

The scheme fully funds an international student intern to work with an SME for a two-week period. These internships will need to take place between Monday, May 22, and Friday, July 7.
