Three of Bristol’s top construction sector influencers will set out their visions for a better city at a conference organised by Constructing Excellence Bristol Club.
The event next Wednesday, March 7, is aimed at contractors, architects, surveyors and other supply chain professionals eager to learn about what major clients want from Bristol’s construction sector.
Attendees will get to hear from key decision makers in Bristol City Council, Bristol Airport and Barton Willmore, one of the UK’s leading independent planning and design consultancies.
Bristol City Council director of housing Paul Smith will set out his vision for the city, Bristol Airport planning and sustainability director Simon Earles will speak about its ambitions for growth, and Barton Wilmore partner Simon Prescott will explore the issues that can drive development in the city from a planning perspective.
Constructing Excellence Bristol Club chair Kevin Hibbs said: “If you’re in construction, this is a real opportunity to get to grips with exactly what top clients think we should do to build better.
“We’ll talk best practice, conduct and new ways to work with clients on projects. We’ve got some great speakers, so the event stands to be the start of some forward-thinking changes to how the city’s construction sector works. I look forward to seeing you there.”
The event is between 8:30am and 2pm at the Watershed, 1 Canons Road, Harbourside, Bristol, BS1 5TX.
