A ‘live lounge’ where Bristol’s creative sector can brainstorm design ideas for cutting-edge exhibition stands has been opened by Clip Display, the international leader in the industry.

It has invested thousands of pounds in the 13,000 sq ft facility in Pucklechurch, close to its head office in Wick.

The idea is to support clients and the flourishing creative sector in Bristol – allowing them to road test new concepts and try out the latest designs in exhibition technology such as augmented reality, directional audio and paperless literature systems.

The Live Lounge, which officially opens in the coming weeks, will allow Clip to build stands up to 12m x 10m, so clients can have a full dress rehearsal before an exhibition or conference.

Clients can also bring their exhibition team to the space and receive training on how to man a stand and achieve optimum return on investment.

Clip designs and builds exhibition stands for companies of all sizes and works with a host of blue-chip companies across the region and internationally including Thatchers Cider, HSBC, Nandos, Hilton, Google, Westons Cider, BT and GSK.

Head of sales and marketing Paul Runacres said: We have been building exhibition stands for our clients for 35 years now but decided a year or two back that we needed a space where we could work with them to come up with ideas around branding and solutions; and to help them achieve their goals for growth and development.

“The space has been very well received but, more importantly, is getting results. It allows people to come away from their office and work on their businesses, rather than in them, and create ideas and graphics that make for amazing stands.”

Clip is planning to launch new products in 2015 and business owners will be able to experiment with them at the Live Lounge in the coming months.

The Clip Group ended 2014 with revenues of £8.5m, 83 staff and having designed more than 400 stands for some of the UK and world’s biggest exhibitions.
