Bristol-based lawyers at national law firm Clarke Willmott have worked on the cross-border acquisition of UK humidifier company Humi-Tech Services by Swedish group Munters.
The deal will expand Munters’ presence in the UK – one of more than 30 countries in which it operates.
The firm, which was founded in 1955 and is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange, is a global leader in energy efficient and sustainable air treatment and climate equipment, including for the food, pharmaceutical and datacentre sectors.
Kent-based Humi-Tech Services specialises in the service and maintenance of all makes and models of humidifiers across the UK.
Legal advice on the deal was provided by partner Simon Smith and solicitor Lucy Fairbrother of Clarke Willmott’s Bristol corporate team, with acquisition support services and due diligence being provided by Paul Crocker and Matthew Willmott of South West accountants PKF Francis Clark.
Simon Smith, pictured, said: “In the last 18 months we have seen a significant increase in overseas investment in UK businesses and our involvement reflects the corporate team’s growing reputation for providing high quality and good value advice to our clients both in the UK and overseas.”
Munters head of M&A Andreas Tyseng added: “This acquisition is within the strategy of Munters global services to grow our services footprint and competence. I have worked with Clarke Willmott on several transactions in the UK and I am always impressed by the level of service and dedication from their team. They remain a trusted advisor to us.”
Clarke Willmott also has offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
