Bristol Beacon, the soon-to-reopen live entertainment venue, has formed a partnership with 10 hotels in the city to give concert-goers access to a range of savings and perks.

Music lovers will be able to make a night of their visit to Bristol Beacon, pictured, with up to 15% off hotel stays as well as discounts on spa visits and other activities.

Taking part in the three-year partnership are Harbour Hotel Bristol, Clayton Hotel Bristol City, Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin, Hotel du Vin Bristol, Berkeley Suites and the four other hotels in the Clifton Hotels Group, and Ibis Bristol Centre.

The Beacon will reopen this November following its extensive transformation, now close to completion.

The flagship venue, which will host around 800 events a year, will be one of the best and most accessible live entertainment spaces in Europe, with two international standard performance venues, a restaurant and bar.

Its historic cellars, which have been closed to the public for decades, will be opened up and used for the first time as education and performance spaces.

Bristol Beacon director of development Rosa Corbishley said: “We are delighted to be partnering with local hotels to give music lovers the opportunity to not only come to Bristol to experience world-class concerts and shows at our transformed venue, but also to immerse themselves in everything else our amazing city has to offer.

“Bristol Beacon has always been a big draw for visitors and will be even more so with our beautifully refurbished building, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to encourage more people to come and spend time here.”

Kathryn Davies, managing director of Visit West, the destination management organisation that includes Visit Bristol, said: “The exciting new programme at Bristol Beacon is yet another reason for people to visit Bristol, stay longer, and spend more supporting our local economy.

“We are delighted that our partners are collaborating to offer more reasons for visitors to spend time in the region.”

The hotel partnership follows an agreement with First Bus to reward Bristol Beacon concertgoers for arriving sustainably by offering discounted bus travel.

People buying tickets for events at the venue will be able to save up to 10% on bus travel.

In addition, First Bus will be supplying free bus travel to around 1,300 primary school children at the 13 schools across the city that participate in Bristol Beacon’s unique Earthsong music education programme.

First Bus and Bristol Beacon will also be working together to promote low carbon travel to the city, whether by bus, train, electric vehicle, bike or on foot.

The new partnership is part of Bristol Beacon’s wider sustainability plans to encourage greener visitor travel, which currently makes up 60% of their overall emissions.
