Businesses are being urged to sponsor the hugely-successful 24 Hours in Bristol photo-marathon competition as it launches for its second year.

The inaugural contest last year attracted hundreds of amateur and professional photographers to the city, generating more than 10,000 stunning of images Bristol over a single day.

The competition, which will again be held over a 24-hour period during the August Bank Holiday, is being officially launched this evening at the opening of the new Harbourside Arts Centre, off Millennium Square.

The unique photographic competition, whose media partners include Digital Camera Magazine, is expected to attract even more photographers this year, with the resulting images creating a visual Doomsday Book of Bristol.

Organisers are looking for Bristol companies to sponsor some of the competition prizes. Benefits for sponsors include access to the fabulous competition images and the opportunity to host private events at the 24 Hours in Bristol exhibition, surrounded by the award-winning photographs, in September/October 2014.
