Bristol’s International Balloon Fiesta is back and its Sky Lounge private enclosure is ensuring guests get up close to the action in the ballooning arena.
Europe’s largest annual ballooning event is once again on cue to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world between now and Sunday – all keen to witness one of the most stunning sights of the summer.
A small number of tickets for the Sky Lounge, pictured, are still available, offering the chance to witness the iconic mass balloon ascents at 6am and 6pm, as well as the fiesta’s iconic nightglow on Saturday away from the crowds.
As well as a private grassed area close to the ballooning arena, Sky Lounge hospitality includes beautiful garden seating for the perfect picnicking spot and free wi-fi for posting stunning images of the balloons, as well as access to a private bar and toilets and numerous kids’ activities.
To enable guess to enjoy the most peaceful moment of the day, tickets are now available in three sessions each day.
Mornings priced at £15 per person (£10 for children under-16), which include a breakfast roll. Daytime tickets are £20 per person (£15 for children under-16) and will provide the perfect base for exploring the event and watching the 6pm mass ascent from a great vantage point. Babies under one go free.
On Saturday night the famous nightglow will return, when dozens of balloons are inflated to light up in time with a soundtrack provided by BBC Radio Bristol, followed by a spectacular firework display.
Sky Lounge Nightglow tickets are available from 8pm to midnight priced at £30 per person.
As well as offering the prime location to soak up the atmosphere of the nightglow from a private terrace, the tickets also include a free drink on arrival as well as entertainment from legendary Bristol DJ collective Terrace Soul.

“We are hoping for sunny skies and light winds as many new balloons will take to the skies, alongside some old favourites from the UK and international destinations.
“We’re proud to be able to continue putting on a show for Bristol and helping put the city on the map as a ballooning capital.”
The fiesta, which takes place at Ashton Court Estate, is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year.
