Jelf, the Yate headquartered insurance, employee benefits and financial planning group, has opened its first London office as it pursues a strategy to organically build a presence in the capital.
The group has grown has grown rapidly through a spate of acquisitions in recent years and now has more than 30 branches throughout England and South Wales. However, until now it has never had a London office.
Chief executive Alex Always said: “This is an exciting move for us and is one that will provide a real boost to our business in the capital.
“With our client bank continuing to grow in London, it made sense for us to gain our first foothold in the city, in order to enhance our service to our clients based there.
“We have a strong team in place and we are looking to build that team and our client bank further in the near future.”
He said the office, in St John Street, Islington, was convenient for the City and West End and had sufficient space to accommodate the team as it grows.
As well as its head office in Yate, the group also has its Jelf Professions and Jelf Lampier businesses in Clifton and an office in Stoke Gifford
