Real estate experts from Bristol-based law firm Burges Salmon have acted for The Crown Estate on its £31m sale to the BlackRock UK Property Fund and Canmoor of Honda’s biggest storage depot in Cabot Park, Avonmouth.

Led by senior associate Matthew Sims, , the real estate team previously acted for The Crown Estate when it bought the site in 2005 and in 2011 when a section, now used by The Co-operative Group as a major regional distribution centre, was sold to AXA Real Estate for £10.5m.

The latest disposal forms part of a series of property transactions by The Crown Estate worth £130m which also included a commitment to fund the development of an £80m retail park in Banbury and the sale of an industrial estate in Basildon for £19m.

Matthew Sims said: “Given our previous involvement, we were delighted to act for The Crown Estate again in its strategic disposal of this site.”
