Plans are well under way for the next annual Night of the Stars spectacular, when Bristol’s hospitality heroes come under the spotlight.
The glittering gala returns for a seventh time in March to celebrate and honour those who have gone the extra mile in support of the sector in and around the city.
Organised by Bristol Hoteliers Association (BHA) – which represents 40 hotels in and around Bristol with around 4,000 rooms between them – and staged at Ashton Gate Stadium, the event has become the top showcase for the city’s hospitality venues and their staff.
It also acts as a major fund-raising opportunity – with more than £4,000 donated to the Brain Tumour Support charity, based just outside the city, from a raffle at 2024’s Night of the Stars.
BHA chair Raphael Herzog said the recent Budget had left many hospitality businesses fearing for their future amid rising taxes and increased costs.
“But there are still so many people who are so committed and passionate about the work they do, and the Night of the Stars event will provide a much-needed morale boost, as we recognise them and show that their efforts are valued so very much,” he added.
He also thanked the gala’s sponsors, saying without their generous support, the event would not take place.
“We can’t thank them enough for making this happen and ensuring that at least some of Bristol’s many hospitality heroes get recognised,” he added.
In total, nine awards will be presented during the course of the event on 13 March, including:
Employee of the Year (Front of House) – sponsored by Ashton Gate.
Employee of the Year (Heart of House) – sponsored by Johnsons Hotel Linen.
Green Initiative – sponsored by Sounds Commercial.
Chef of the Year – sponsored by City of Bristol College.
