The Bank of England’s representative in the South West, Stephen Collins, is guest speaker at the next ASPIRE event staged by business advisory firm Grant Thornton’s Bristol office.
Mr Collins will give an overview of his role and of the economic challenges facing the region this year at the event – designed to help young professionals in their careers – on February 26.
He has worked in a variety of roles in the Bank and before replacing Kevin Butler as agent for the South West in 2010, he was head of its business continuity division. He has also been involved in its relations with the European Central Bank and has worked at the International Monetary Fund.
