Bristol Rovers have officially opened their new South West Stand, sponsored by city-based commercial law firm Meade King.
Meade King beat 60 other Bristol businesses in Rovers’ 1883 Club draw to win the chance to have its branding on the newly-refurbished stand at the Memorial Stadium.
The stand forms part of a package of improvements at the ground, which also includes a new seated family area on the North side of the East Terrace.
Meade King partner – and lifelong Rovers supporter – Keith Mahoney joined club officials and players for the official opening of the stand.
Keith, who heads the firm’s insolvency, employment and dispute resolution teams, said: “I have been a season ticket holder for most of my life and go to all the Rovers home and away matches.
“So I’m delighted that what I believe to be Bristol’s oldest commercial law firm is now sponsoring what I know is the city’s oldest football club.
“As a firm we believe it’s hugely important that local businesses help support local clubs to be the best they can be.”
Bristol Rovers commercial director Tom Gorringe added: “We are delighted to welcome Meade King as the official sponsors of the South West Stand.
“Our focus is engaging with the wider business community here in the city and this partnership demonstrates the close links we have forged through the 1883 draw.
“As a club, we are looking forward to working closely with Meade King over the course of the season.”
Meade King provides a wide range of specialist legal services to small and medium-sized businesses across the South West and nationally from its Bristol office. Its lawyers have particular expertise in areas such as commercial property, business sales and acquisitions, construction contracts, dispute resolution and employment law.
The firm is also nationally recognised for the high-quality commercial and regulatory advice it provides to dentists and other healthcare providers.
