International mergers and acquisitions lawyer Mike Turner has joined the board of Bristol Rovers as a non-executive director.
Mike, pictured, who is based in London, worked with the Al Qadi family when they took over the club in February. 
Mike said|: “I know the family very well and have been to every home game since the takeover
“I live in Cheltenham and I know the area and the stadium very well, having watched Rovers and Bristol Rugby play at The Mem on a number of occasions.”
Mike was accompanied by two of his five children last Saturday when he watched Rovers clinch promotion to League One.
“We are now very much a Rovers supporting family, and happy to be so,” he added.
In his role as a non-executive director he will help with all aspects of the business of the football club.
“There are many ongoing projects, including the new stadium, and I will be on hand to offer help and advice whenever I can,” he said.
“These are exciting times and this is a terrific football club, one almost without parallel in terms of local support.”
The Jordanian Al Qadi family has a 92% stake in Rovers. Jordanian Football Association member Wael Al-Qadi became club president after the deal and former Swansea City chairman Steve Hamer – who led the Welsh club between 1997 and 2000 – replaced Nick Higgs as chairman.
